The Mexican Cultural Center of Northern California and Federico Films invite you to share in a tribute to the legendary star of over sixty movies. Come see why fifty years after his death, Pedro Infante remains the idol of Mexican popular culture.
In this movie retrospective, film historian Dr. Fred Dobb of San Francisco State University will explore the enduring cinematic and musical legacy of this actor and singer who dominated Latin American box offices during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema
Known for his portrayal of traditional Mexican masculinity, Pedro Infante continues to create new admirers through a network of fan clubs ,to inspire novelists such as Denise Chavez in Loving Pedro Infante, and to provoke controversial analysis in Cinemachismo by Sergio de la Mora.
