Danitza N. Alvízar 2009 Winner
Danitza N. Alvízar is from state of  Veracruz. Danitza obtained her B.S. in Genetics with a minor in Evolutionary Anthropology from UC Davis in 2008. She has worked in the research, biotechnology and teaching industries since her graduation, and is currently part of the Science and Environmental Policy Divisionat California State Universityof Monterey Bay. Danitza is trilingual in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Danitza was elected Reina Fiestas Patrias 2009 by the Mexican Cultural Center of Northern Californiaas a role model in her community. Danitza plans in the near future to attend Santa Clara School of Lawand hopes to significantly contribute to the diversification of this profession.
