Artist Bio: Derli Romero Cerna

Derli Romero Cerna was born in Michoacan, Mexico and graduated in the Art of Etching. He studied at “La Esmeralda” at INBA Mexico, D.F. which is the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Etching. He continues to exercise his knowledge by attending Art courses and Symposiums. Mr. Romero art exhibits have been individually and collectively displayed throughout Mexico, United States, Uruguay, Russia, Italy, India and Spain.  He has received extensive awards and recognition. He teaches and conducts workshops throughout different states in Mexico. His illustrations can be found in over 50 publications.


Day of the Dead Altar - “Dia de los Muertos” is a traditional celebration in which families reunite and honor their deceased loved ones by offering an altar. The MCCNC will have an altar on exhibit starting October 15th through November 9th at the MCCNC Gallery located at 1010 8th Street, Suite 101, from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Nativity Scene – “El Nacimiento” is a traditional custom that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. The Nativity Scene will be on exhibit starting December 3rd through January 8th at the MCCNC Gallery located at 1010 8th Street, Suite 101, from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
